Job Description | The Administrative Assistant assists in the daily operations of the Registrar’s office, including review of all incoming paperwork, emails and documentation, assisting visitors with excellent customer service, and a wide-variety of administrative support duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1. Facilitates all aspects of coverage for the Registrar Welcome Area
2. Oversees department email account, responding and taking action as needed. 3. Assists with transcript ordering process, including problem research and resolution. 4. Responsible for validating enrollment and degree verifications, plus researching inactive student record requests. 5. Assists in scanning, review and processing of student record documents applying university academic policies and FERPA confidentiality standards to all position functions. 6. Performs other duties of similar nature or level. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required Qualifications | High School diploma or GED; one year of specialized training in administrative support or a related field; three years of administrative support or related office experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. |
Preferred Qualifications | Excellent organization and record keeping skills, and experience working with the public. |
Physical Demands | Sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. |
