Independent Distribution Manager
Hillyard, Inc. is currently taking applications for Independent Distribution Manager for our Sales team in the Southwest Region of the United States.
The Independent Distribution Manages are sales professionals charged with executing Sales and Marketing Plans for the assigned territory in order to achieve sales goals and marketing objectives.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities:
- Work with Independent Distribution to grow Hillyard Manufactured Product sales and achieve goals.
- Establishes a regional business culture that promotes the sales and achievement of Hillyard branded products and objectives. Works with Distributor Sales Representatives to make sure all expectations are met.
- Works in conjunction with Independent Distribution applying a consultative approach to present, demonstrate and close Hillyard branded products and opportunities that produce an over all cost savings or improved outcome with current and prospective customers within the region.
- Trains Account Managers and Distributor Sales Representative’s on all aspects of Hillyard branded products and systems.
- Works with Business Development Executives to support regional and national account activity.
- Performs Hillyard Product and Program Introductions and Launches as well as regular sales meetings in reinforce the product information necessary to achieve objectives.
- Proficient in determining and evaluating needs within a multitude of vertical markets.
- Provide extensive hands-on product and solution training to customers.
Qualifications Include:
- 4 Year Bachelors Degree
- 1 Year prior outside consultative selling experience in a similar discipline.
- Work independently with little to no supervision.
- Possesses ability to diagnose and troubleshoot.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that meet client needs; must possess the ability to listen, contribute to projects in a team environment, work independently, coach, mentor and persuade others.
- Proficient computer skills working with various office equipment, computers and various programs including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- The ability to effectively work on spreadsheets, word processing, networking, and e-mail programs.
- Ability to develop clear and effective written presentations/proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers is critical.
- Entrepreneurial drive, a track record of initiative, personal responsibility, and achievement in meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives in a high-growth organization.
- Embodies strong traits such as decision-making, problem solving and possessing good judgement with the ability to project a calm and professional demeanor.
- Exceptional organization skills with a high consideration to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Technology Proficient – with Facility supply industry knowledge and aptitude preferred.
