Hillyard, Inc. is currently taking applications for Microbiologist for our Quality Control team in St. Joseph, MO.
The Microbiologist performs microbial and chemistry testing, inspects materials and production areas, and helps ensure our products meet safety and quality standards.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities:
  • Perform microbial and basic chemistry testing on materials and products
  • Prepare samples and complete routine lab testing tasks
  • Inspect production areas to ensure quality and compliance standards are met
  • Check raw materials, in-process, and finished products for quality
  • Support product stability and tracking programs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab and work areas
  • File reports and keep documentation up to date
  • Organize and manage sample storage areas
  • Perform basic instrument maintenance and calibration
  • Assist with label storage and tracking
  • Monitor and maintain lab supply inventory
Qualifications Include:
  • Must have a 4 year Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field.
  • Experieince working in a biologic laboratory environment.
  • Knowledge of FDA and cGMP policy.
