QA/QC Chemist
Hillyard, Inc. is currently taking applications for QA/QC Chemist for our Quality Control team in St. Joseph, MO.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities:
  • Perform testing on finished product, water samples, raw materials, and packaging.
  • Maintain microbiological and chemical testing supplies.
  • Maintain data generation using GMP/GLP practices.
  • Create and manage logistical documents affiliated with daily production needs.
  • Assist in internal investigation reports.
  • Maintain audit spreadsheets concerning the flow of raw materials and products.
  • Release of quarantined materials in SAP.
  • Communicate lab results to internal and external customers effectively.
  • Calibration of lab instruments as required. Maintain instrument calibration schedule.
  • Perform validation and qualification studies as required.
  • Organize and maintain sample stability/retain storage areas.
  • Inspection of manufacturing and filling areas to ensure GMP compliance.
Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology or chemistry.
  • Proficient in PH, Viscosity, Density, Specific Gravity and Titrations.
  • Experience with HPLC, GC and FTIR and associate software. Ability to perform general maintenance and repair.
  • Computer experience with SAP and Microsoft products.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Reading and comprehension skills.
  • Great attention to detail, and observation skills.
  • Practical experience working in a laboratory.
