Shipping General Line Worker
Location: St. Joseph Distribution Center | 2330 SW Lower Lake Rd, St. Joseph, MO 64504
Pay: $15.58/hr. base + incentive pay
Shifts:
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Pay Frequency: Weekly (Friday)

Job Responsibilities
As a Shipping General Line Worker, you’ll ensure customer orders are packaged, labeled, and shipped accurately and efficiently.
Primary duties include:
- Operate and monitor automated shipping and decorating line equipment
- Perform process and quality checks to ensure product meets customer specifications
- Retrieve and follow specifications from the computer terminal
- Remove process vents, decorate batteries, and reapply finish vents
- Polish terminals and test quality using equipment such as Bitrode or manual Hi-Rater
- Palletize batteries per customer requirements using OPS procedures and equipment
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance within scope of role
- Rotate through line positions to maintain production flow and efficiency
- Maintain accurate production counts and documentation
- Keep work area clean and orderly; support regular housekeeping and 5S
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 6+ months of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Comfortable working in hot environments (temperatures up to 100°F)
- Basic computer, math, reading, and writing skills
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and teamwork
- Must be able to wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, uniform, and safety boots)

The St. Joseph Distribution Center (SJDC) opened in 1995 and employs over 265 people. The facility packages, tests, and ships Clarios batteries to customers nationwide, supporting both distribution and assembly operations. SJDC is also committed to community engagement, supporting The United Way, The Strong Foundation, and Soldier’s Angels.
