| Position Title: Property Maintenance Inspector Department: Police Department Division: Support Services Salary: $22.06586hr/$45,897.00yr Closing Date: Until Filled Job Summary/Scope Enforces city ordinances regarding minimum housing, property maintenance, solid waste and zoning. Ensures compliance with city regulations. No supervisory or budgetary responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other Duties and Responsibilities Performs all other related duties as assigned. Material and Equipment Directly Used Use of a range of office machines and equipment, including calculators, computers, printers and/or other peripherals, telephones, radios and camera (including body worn camera), and pepper spray. Operates a City provided vehicle. Uses a measuring wheel and tape measure. Working Environment/Physical Requirements Work is performed in a wide range of conditions, ranging from heat to cold when working out in the community. Some work performed in an office with a controlled environment. Work in environments that are potentially hazardous. Work involves walking, climbing, bending and stooping. Seldom need to lift more than 10 to 20 pounds. Some overnight or day travel may be required for business purposes. Vacation and other leave scheduling shall be requested and approved by the appropriate supervisor. Education High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in a related field preferred. All applicants must pass a drug screening and criminal background check prior to employment. Any job offer made by the City is contingent upon the applicant passing the drug screening and background check.
