| JOB TITLE: Human Resources Consultant DEPARTMENT: Human Resources DIVISION: Human Resources SALARY: $42,301.00/YR $20.337019/HR CLOSING DATE: Until filled Job Summary/Scope Performs general office and clerical duties in the human resources office. Supports the delivery of human resources services through a wide variety of responsibilities ranging from general clerical duties, complex administrative coordination, and supporting Human Resources Director, department director and others in the administration and maintenance of employee compensation and benefit programs. No supervisory or budgetary responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Employee Behavior and Conduct City employees shall conduct themselves in a professional manner and shall exhibit and extend such professional conduct appropriate for the circumstances to those with whom they come into contact both internally and externally during the performance of their duties. Examples of professional conduct include, but are not limited to, being communicative, informative, fair, honest, and respectful. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Material and Equipment Directly Used Use of computer, typewriter, telephone, digital camera, scanner, printer and various office equipment. Working Environment/Physical Requirements Work is performed in an office setting with a controlled environment. Job is performed primarily at a desk and may include sitting for long periods of time. Other expectations include frequent typing and maintaining various forms of communication including but not limited to in-person, telephone and email. May require the occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, stooping, kneeling or bending. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field desirable. All applicants must pass a drug screening and criminal background check prior to employment. Any job offer made by the City is contingent upon the applicant passing the drug screening and background check.
