Material and Equipment Directly UsedOperates a variety of equipment used in routine maintenance, including mowers, trucks, tractors, chainsaws, forklift, bobcat, boom truck and other equipment used in the maintenance of parks. There may be times when use of personal vehicle may be required. Working Environment/Physical RequirementsMajority of work is performed in an outdoor setting where weather conditions can vary from extreme heat and cold, with high levels of dust, dirt, fumes and noise. Physical activity includes prolonged standing, bending, stooping, lifting, walking and uses arms and hands frequently. Must have the ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 to 75 pounds and assist in lifting objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds. Some overnight or day travel may be required for business purposes. Vacation and other leave scheduling shall be requested of and approved by the appropriate supervisor. EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Five or more years of prior experience required to provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Unrestricted electrical journeyman license preferred. All applicants must pass a drug screening and criminal background check prior to employment.
