| JOB TITLE: Senior Field Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Public Works & Transportation DIVISION: Streets SALARY: $58,625/YR $28.18509/HR CLOSING DATE: DEC 29,2025 Job Summary/Scope Supervises and schedules the daily work schedule of employees and equipment in the maintenance of streets, alleys, ditches and storm sewers. Direct and indirect supervision. Assists in preparing and monitoring the division department budget. Supervisory Responsibility Integral to the position of Senior Field Supervisor is the responsibility for developing subordinates to their fullest potential by exercising appropriate degrees of coaching, training, guiding, evaluating, correcting and, if necessary, disciplining. Materials and Equipment Directly Used Uses a variety of office equipment including telephone, personal computer, fax, and other related equipment. Drives light truck on daily basis. Occasionally operates heavy equipment. There may be times when use of personal vehicle may be required. Working Environment/Physical Requirements Work is performed in a variety of settings from an office environment to an outdoor setting with extreme weather conditions. Frequently stands, walks, bends, stoops and reaches. Sit for long periods at a computer terminal. Occasional lifting of objects weighing 40 pounds and in excess of 40 pounds with assistance. Some overnight or day travel may be required for business purposes. Vacation and other leave scheduling shall be requested of and approved by the appropriate supervisor. Employee Behavior and Conduct City employees shall conduct themselves in a professional manner and shall exhibit and extend such professional conduct appropriate for the circumstances to those with whom they come into contact both internally and externally during the performance of their duties. Examples of professional conduct include, but are not limited to, being communicative, informative, fair, honest, and respectful. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in a related field preferred, or three to five years prior experience or any combination of formal education and work experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities All applicants must pass a drug screening and criminal background check prior to employment.
