Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learns Altec’s product lines and systems/rules/processes required for different Engineering roles at Altec.

• Practices prudent engineering and effectively apply formal engineering training adding to the overall effectiveness of the Engineering Group and enhancement of Altec’s position within the product line

• Participates and contributes productively as part of Altec’s team-oriented design, manufacture and customer service/support efforts

• Operates with appropriate entry-level decision-making latitude within the scope of an assignment

• Knows and applies fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in the engineering field

• Communicates with customers on issues of technical specifications, product design and operation as appropriate

• Supports Operations, Sales, and Service

• Interfaces directly with Suppliers and Customers

• Learns and utilize Lean principles to improve our products and processes

• Participates on various sizes of Altec projects

• Works within any of the Altec departments as assigned to grow knowledge and skill for future Altec positions

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER:

• Determines and implements appropriate Preventative Maintenance tasks for assets in the plant
• Supports Maintenance Team during repairs
• Reviews and adjusts stocking level of parts for Maintenance Team
• Works with Operators, Manufacturing Engineers, Maintenance Team and OEMs to improve asset availability for production
• Monitors costs, manpower efficiency, machine capability, space utilization, etc. and recommend as appropriate revisions in maintenance methods
• Leads continuous improvement efforts in the areas of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Productivity
• Leads and implement Capital projects

Basic Qualifications

• ABET EAC Certified Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Master’s Degree in Engineering from a college that offers ABET EAC-certified BS degrees

  • Excludes Engineering Technology degrees

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must be able to work with team members and work with minimal supervision

• Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time, potentially on short notice

Pay Transparency

Pay range: $77,000 to $80,850. We are committed to fair and competitive pay for all associates based on their experience, education, and qualifications.

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
