Responsibilities
Altec is in search of a Warranty Product Support Specialist, to be located at our St. Joseph, MO campus. This position will be responsible for facilitating warranty claims, along with overseeing the processing of suspected defective supplier components and material. The Administrator is the initial driving forces behind improving overall quality and minimizing the financial impact of both field warranty and in process non-conformance to quality standards.

The job level is able to be adjusted at time of hire, if the candidate meets the qualifications for jobs of a more experienced level in the career path.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- A minimum of two years of experience in a similar or related business is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and structural components preferred.
- Knowledge of Altec equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of Oracle, and Microsoft Access preferred. Qlikview, Qliksense, PowerBI
Responsibilities:
- Actively manages all warranty-related Service Requests for designated plants to ensure proper information is received for all warranty claims to perform root cause analysis.
- Understands and communicates technically with the Service Supervisors, Service Technicians, and Quality Engineers when determining information needed for root cause analysis.
- Provides support to Service Supervisors to ensure proper coding of warranty claims to the correct plant and accounts.
- Facilitates the return of parts when trends are identified.
- Assists in updating and maintaining Knowledge Base as corrective action is identified through trends.
- Categorizes warranty data to provide support to the Manufacturing and Final Assembly plants.
- Creates and distributes warranty monthly reports.
- Assists in disposition of Supplier evaluations.
- Ensures proper administration of the Supplier Quality Policy and conformance to the Warranty Policy and Warranty Best Practices as they apply.
- Provides data, information, or reports from Oracle or other sources upon request.
- Reviews for acceptance and documents supplier evaluations.
- Develops and/or implements improvements in the rejected material process as opportunities are identified.
- Associate must be willing to travel to other locations approximately 2 to 5 trips per year, with each trip being on average 3 to 5 days in duration.
