Talent Sourcing Specialist

Position Summary

Reporting to the Talent Sourcing Manager with a dotted line to the top HR Partner at the location, the Talent Sourcing Specialist will support the HR team in all aspects of sourcing and talent pipeline development. This position will focus on building sustainable pipelines of talent for hourly and salary positions as needed to fulfill the workforce capacity needs of the location.

Examples of Work Performed
• Builds and nurtures pipelines of talent for future needs and identified skill gaps across the organization
• Assists HR teams with data collection and analysis such as declination reasons, stay interview results, and exit interview information as needed to measure quality and effectiveness of talent sources.
• Develops extensive pipeline candidate pools to fill current and potential needs, including a thorough understanding of position requirements and business needs
• Sources passive candidates through networking, cold calling, and complex internet searches; researches active candidates from on-line databases, contact lists, internal databases, and employee referrals
• Maintains sourcing databases to ensure all data is captured, updated, and reported properly
• Assists with creating recruitment strategies
• Converts talent leads to applicants within the applicant tracking system
• Networks and actively promotes Altec’s brand through creation and utilization of recruitment branding materials
• Participates in establishing an “employer of choice” reputation for the company, both internally and externally
• Works collaboratively with the TA Sourcing Manager and Marketing department to maintain consistency of branding and communication.
• Researches, implements, and maintains leading edge and creative sourcing tools and resources that improve candidate relationship development.
• Builds knowledge of competitor institutions and uses market data and internal productivity metrics to inform sourcing strategy and recruitment methodologies
• Other projects or duties as assigned.
Critical Competencies
• Ability to build lasting partnerships with community organizations and educational institutions
• Ability to analyze effectiveness of sourcing efforts through data analysis
• Knowledge of recruiting and/or sourcing metrics and reporting standards
• Ability to professionally deliver presentations and utilize influencing skills

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, HR, marketing, or related field and five years of closely related experience; OR
• Associates Degree in business and seven years of closely related experience; OR
• HS Degree and seven years of Altec experience with increasing levels of responsibility in hourly and salary roles combined, including some experience in building partnerships with community organizations and/or educational institutions
• Experience with sourcing tools and methodologies such as LinkedIn and resume databases preferred.
• Experience with social media marketing and branding preferred.
• Experience working in a fast paced, metrics driven environment preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with sourcing tools and methodologies such as Applicant Tracking System (ATS), LinkedIn, resume databases (Indeed, Job Boards), social media and branding preferred.
