Position Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator/Recruiter will assist in the administration of HR functions with a primary focus of managing the entire lifecycle and onboarding of new employees. The Recruiter will be responsible for staffing current openings and assisting the business by implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a quality pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Facilitates contacts by creating and maintaining a presence in the industry community and marketplace. Uses traditional and nontraditional resources such as job fairs, community network events, social media, virtual and onsite job interest career fairs resulting in a ready talent pipeline.
- Manages talent acquisition including but not limited to candidate search, screening, interviewing, and hiring. Maintains consistent contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
- Owns and executes the onboarding process for all new hires, including scheduling and conducting orientation, collecting new hire paperwork and entering new hires into HRIS and training systems.
- Collaborates with department managers to understand the needs and roles to be filled, and the hiring criteria. Assists with the development and revision of specifications and job descriptions for all positions.
- Oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Collaborates with the Human Resources Manager during the onboarding process, identifying, recommending, and tracking incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Facilitates employment requirements by scheduling background checks and drug screens, reference checks, and vetting potential employees’ credentials.
- Works with placement agencies to assist with recruitment process.
- Conducts exit interviews and terminates employee privileges to maintain security.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
- At least three years of related recruiting experience required.
- Two years of high-volume or manufacturing recruiting preferred.
